Our team had the privilege of revitalizing the flooring in an existing community hospital dedicated to providing accessible healthcare to underserved populations. The goal was to create a welcoming, uplifting environment that reflected the hospital’s mission of care and compassion while addressing the practical needs of a high-traffic medical facility. Using a creative combination of Tarkett LVT in various colors and sizes, Roppe wall base, and Bostik floor leveling products, we delivered a design that was both functional and inspiring.

The design process began with the selection of Tarkett LVT, chosen for its durability, ease of maintenance, and design versatility. We incorporated a vibrant palette of colors and a mix of tile sizes to create dynamic patterns and wayfinding elements throughout the hospital. These designs not only added visual interest but also helped guide patients and staff through the space, improving navigation and reducing stress.

To address the hospital’s uneven subfloors, we utilized Bostik floor leveling products, ensuring a smooth, stable surface for the LVT installation. This step was critical to achieving a seamless, professional finish that would stand up to the demands of a busy healthcare environment.

Roppe wall base was installed to provide a clean, durable transition between the flooring and walls. Its antimicrobial properties and ease of cleaning made it an ideal choice for maintaining hygiene in a medical setting.

The result is a transformative space that combines practicality with creativity, offering patients and staff a sense of comfort and hope. This project demonstrates how thoughtful flooring design can elevate the experience of a community hospital, proving that even in spaces serving those with limited resources, beauty and functionality can coexist. Our work stands as a testament to the power of design to inspire and heal.
