The sub-floor conditions were more like a roller coaster over a chalky surface that we had to address first to support our installation of Karndean Korlock LVT, Armstrong VCT and Shaw Carpet Tile. These were all products that we presented to the designer in the planning stages of the project. We worked with Schonox on cost-effective solutions for leveling. Because of the large racetrack layout of the LVT around core offices of carpet tile, Karndean assisted us with the expansion joint details. When the Shaw carpet tile was installed, it showed signs of shading from tile to tile. However, we brought this to our Shaw rep’s attention and found that pile lifting did the trick, making the product look monolithic. The customer is thrilled with the overall space.
