This multi-floor location was designed to support a full-service law firm with nearly 70 attorneys. The office space now includes private offices, open workstations, conference areas and communal spaces.
Key design features include a monumental stairway, crafted with steel framing and wood cladding, which serves as both a visual and functional connection between the floors. This central feature is complemented by rich wood flooring throughout the office. Additionally, over 3,000 square yards of Bentley carpet was installed, contributing to the space’s comfort and elegance.
Phase construction was carefully planned to ensure the firm’s operations remained uninterrupted during the renovation, facilitating a smooth and seamless transition to the contemporary workspace.
The design prioritizes sustainability and innovation, adhering to WELL Building standards that focus on the health, safety, and well-being of its occupants.
Nancy Thiel, founder and principal of Thiel Architecture + Design, is a licensed architect and an interior designer. With 40+ years’ experience working with luminaries in the architecture world, including Michael Graves, Robert A.M. Stern, and Rockwell Group, where she served as a studio leader, Thiel’s extensive portfolio includes single-family homes and multi-story residences, hotels, restaurants, retail, fitness clubs, offices, theaters, schools and shopping centers. She is a member of the AIA, holds NCARB certification and is a LEED accredited professional. Prior to her career in architecture, Thiel was a dancer and choreographer.
