Supporting patients and caretakers with comfortable and familiar spaces has long been a priority for healthcare organizations, and it shows no signs of letting up. Anytime Flooring was pleased to be a part of building a new healthcare campus in Lafayette, Louisiana. The LHC Group offers office space for administrators and multiple clinic settings, as well as dining and break areas for all. In an effort to maintain durability and comfort while delivering chic and modern design, we incorporated a wide variety of materials into this build. The stone accent wall in the main lobby is impressive not only because of its scale but also because of the texture and depth that the stone tiling introduces to the space.
As you move through the space you can’t help but notice what may be our favorite part of this project – a grand staircase where we used warm custom wood and metal trim to continue the contemporary tone of this building. Since the cafeteria/dining hall serves over 1000 healthcare providers daily, we made it feel bright and calm, allowing workers to relax and enjoy their time away from patients. We used over-sized beveled white subway tile throughout the space keeping the overall look clean. Because long hours are part of the job, this facility added a beautiful coffee/refreshment area where we were able to flex our creativity and also present our eye for detail. The extravagant mosaic tile back splash adds a pop of color and an exciting visual to this break area.
Don’t forget about the bathrooms! Large format tile is used on the floors while paper towel niches are covered in stunning blue penny round tile. Lastly, the office space/call center hosts hundreds of employees and cubicle areas. Carpet tiles line these vast areas making the space comfortable and resistant to echoing. Each material that we used is beautiful in its own right, but when we step back and look at the space as a whole there is unity and consistency – and that makes us proud as a team and organization.
