Providing comprehensive outpatient care in clinical specialties, the Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care (CAC) is a new five-story OSPHD III medical office building providing the community access to the latest and most promising new therapies.
In collaboration with SmithGroup, who served as the lead architect for the project, Taylor Design focused on the design of clinical spaces, and the Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders department. The design story of “window to the wetlands” draws inspiration from the neighboring San Joaquin Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary – soft lighting, natural wood, warm hues, and wetland inspired wall graphics – tying health, wellness, and healing for patients and guests to the tranquility of nature. The campus is the nation’s first to be powered by an all-electric central utilities plant and is slated to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
Floor covering manufacturers included Shaw’s PVC Free Sheet Vinyl “Innate”, Shaw LVT, Bentley carpet tile in open lobbies, Tarkett rubber base and transitions, Ardex MC Rapid, Ardex K10
