Walt Disney World, in Orlando, FL, is the most visited theme park resort in the world with millions of visitors every year. The parks, resorts, retail, and dining experiences are open to guests 365 days a year all while continuing to create and construct new magical spaces and experiences. Walt Disney once said, "Disney World will never be complete as long as there is imagination left in the world." Certified Finishes is proud to have partnered with Disney World's Imaginers on several magical designs and finishing Project Peanut at Disney Springs wasn't any different. However, maintaining the schedule can be difficult when working with a company that is open every day of the year to thousands of guests and wants to limit construction noise. Our team only had access to the 10,000 sq ft space at night so we could only schedule delivery and installation crews between 12 PM and 7 AM. The space had to be clear before 7 AM each morning so the Disney staff could begin preparing for their patrons. In addition to only having access to the space at night, our team also had to manage through newly formed and ever-changing COVID-19 restrictions while on-site and material delays due to the pandemic. We worked closely with our Fuse partners at American Olean, Daltile, Johnsonite, and Mapei to meet the tight shipping deadlines after extended product lead times created a time crunch.
