HTC Commercial Flooring is proud to submit our 13-floor apartment building project in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the "Most Aggressive Timeline + Schedule" category of the Fuse Alliance Spark Awards. Starting on December 16th, HTC had until year end to complete 33,000 square foot renovation in all wings and corridors of the occupied living facility: with 3 mandatory off days for holidays. Our scope included the removal and disposal of existing carpet and wall base before we came back with Schonox floor preparation, Mohawk vinyl plank, and Tarkett/Johnsonite’s vinyl cove base. Our crews were given one hour per floor to disassemble each top-mounted threshold, remove the existing carpet tile and preset/reassemble the thresholds to receive new Mohawk luxury vinyl plank at all 186 unit entryways. With an extremely tight deadline, our team worked in multiple shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure continuous progress. HTC’s proprietary project management system allowed real-time tracking of materials, schedules, and progress, ensuring seamless execution. Despite unforeseen subfloor issues and lost workdays, we delivered the project ahead of schedule without compromising quality. This project highlights HTC Commercial Flooring’s ability to manage aggressive timelines through strategic planning, skilled execution, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
