This project had a design with Terrazzo flooring with patterns and the client was extremely over budget. We sat down with the client and design team to figure out how we could get the same look but at a fraction of the cost. We started looking at epoxies, when someone came up with the idea of a polished topping slab. We designed and budgeted Ardex V1200 topped with Ardex SDM with custom stenciling. This ended up saving the client Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars. At the end of the day the design was slightly different, but the client was thrilled with the final outcome.
