Pacific Life - WT 2.0

The remodel and face lift of the distinctive landmark 515,000 SF Pacific Mutual Building, designed by William L Pereira Associates and built in 1971 was to take place in phases over 5 years while the space was occupied by Pacific Life Insurance. Then the pandemic was upon us. With all associates working remotely, Pac Life decided this was the time. Besides the replacement of all floor coverings, which was our scope, they also completed asbestos abatement, replaced all exterior glazing and supporting steel structures for energy efficiency, and much more interior and exterior site work. We had 90 days to remove existing flooring, grind sub-floors to remove old adhesive residue, fill all the abandoned trench header ducts, then install new carpet tile, LVT and wall base. The completed project updates the Pac Life brand and interior spaces, while maintaining the look of the iconic William Pereira landmark.
